Witnessing the early evolution of young stellar systems

An international team of astronomers, including Saugata Barat and Jean-Michel Désert of the University of Amsterdam, used the Hubble Space telescope to delve into the atmosphere of exoplanet V1298 Tau b, revealing the first ever transmission spectrum of a young planet. Their results were published in Nature Astronomy on 9 May.
