Large investment for development and construction of astronomical instruments for Extremely Large Telescope
A consortium led by the Netherlands Research School for Astronomy (NOVA) has been awarded nearly €18 million by research funding organization NWO for the next 10 years to develop and build instruments for the future European Extremely Large Telescope (ELT) in northern Chile. NOVA is the alliance of the astronomical institutes of the universities of Amsterdam, Groningen, Leiden, and Nijmegen. UvA researchers involved in the project are Professor Lex Kaper, Dr. Jean-Michel Desert, Profesor Alex de Koter and Dr. Antonija Oklopčić
