Blog: The Geminids
By PhD candidate Kenzie Nimmo
Every year in mid-December, one of the most major annual meteor showers is displayed in the sky above. During the peak of the Geminids, over 100 meteors can be seen per hour (given ideal observing conditions). The Geminids meteor shower is active from December 4th - 17th, with the peak in activity from mid-evening on December 13th through to sunrise on December 14th. The API Outreach team will be hosting a Geminids livestream event on Sunday December 13th.
